Day 10 - More mountains and more singing!

We had a nice leisurely morning, almost too leisurely!  By the time we got down to breakfast all the chocolate croissants were gone!!!

The kids had a nice opportunity to walk around our little small ski town right around the hotel where we are staying.  Some bought little souvenirs, others just took in the beautiful surroundings and enjoyed the fresh mountain air.

We were on the bus by 11:00 for our hour long drive to Sesto, another section of il Dolomiti bellisimi!  We took the lift up to what we THOUGHT was going to be the top...  Little did we know we had to walk about another 400 ft in elevation before we reached our singing destination.  With back packs full, chaperones carrying all the lunch essentials, we made our way to the top.  Yet some more stunning views.  The kids had fun playing on the play structure that was at the top there, making flower wreaths to wear in their hair, and just laying around!  Despite the allergies that came with laying in the fields, they were able to pull it together and perform with energy and enthusiasm in their Open Air Review.  They shared this concert with the Merituuli Youth Choir from Finland.  Our kids had a great time getting to know them and chatting.

Once we finished the concert, we were back on the lift back down to head to our next shared outdoor concert at Parco del Benessere.  This was an all youth concert shared with a choir from Czech Republic, one from Bulgaria, and the other from Russia.  Lots of fun to see all the other choirs with members our age.

Back to the hotel for our 4 course meal and then to the Festa Tirolese, a night time festival with vendors, food, singing, AND gelato!  Our first Italian gelato this trip! The kids were so excited!

The entertainment was by the choral participants.  A majority of our choir got up there and performed Rachel Adams' arrangement of "Cups."  They were a big hit, and we left the festival on a high, all the kids were very excited!  Hopefully they will get some sleep tonight!  Easy day tomorrow, including closing circle, and a final festival concert.
