2024-2025 Tours
International Competition and Touring is the centerpiece of the Choir program. Decades of experience have shown that choir tours provide an unparalleled opportunity for young students to broaden their understanding of the people and cultures of the world and, in the process, they strengthen their relationships and learn about themselves. Since 1982, our choirs have toured and performed in 13 states and 26 foreign countries, participated in nineteen choral competitions in Europe, Asia, and North America and brought home twenty-five awards, including numerous Gold Medals, First Prizes, and Grand Prizes. With your support, we can continue to make sure our singers continue this core choir tradition.
We are delighted to announce Concert Choir’s summer tour to London, Ontario, Canada from June 12 to June 17. During this 5-night event, we will visit and perform with our friends, the Junior Amabile Singers who attended our Golden Gate Festival in 2023! Concert Choir will be homesteading with the JA Singers for a weekend of exchange activities. We will also be sightseeing in Toronto and the picturesque Niagara Falls.
In May, 2025, Ensemble travels to Eureka, CA to perform Eric Tuan’s Echoes of Eureka, a choral opera. Echoes of Eureka is inspired by the story of Chinese immigrant, Charlie Wei who, among many others, was expelled from Eureka in the late 1880s.
In June of 2025, Ensemble will journey to Finland and Estonia from June 23rd to July 7th. The tour is of particular artistic depth, featuring home-stays and collaborations with our Finnish partner choir, Vox Aurea, and our dear friends, the Estonian TV Girls Choir. The tour starts in Jyväskylä where we will join Vox Aurea in introducing Echoes of Eureka to the international stage. Next, Ensemble will take part in the Helsinki Organ Summer Festival with the Tapiola Choir at the Suomenlinna Church and the Rock Church, an active Lutheran church built directly into solid rock in 1969. Ensemble will then be treated to unparalleled views as we take the ferry to from Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia. Here, we will be be home-staying with the Estonian TV Girls Choir and performing, once again in Laulupidu, the Estonian Song and Dance festival, one of the largest choral events in the world.
This year are working closely with ACFEA Tour Consultants who are also running a Companion Tour led by Natalie for our PEBCC supporters and families. This is a chance to share the experience of choral touring but with the comfort and freedom of a well-planned vacation. This companion tour leaves a few days after the singers and parallels from Helsinki through the end of the Ensemble tour in Tallinn.
In order to bring costs down for families and ensure every voice is heard on our tours, PEBCC has launched a series of tour fundraising opportunities. We hope you will join us in supporting these amazing global youth music ambassadors in these transformative experiences!
