Day 4 - Travel day to Klarup, Denmark

We had another fairly early morning, meeting all of the singers at Christuskirche around 7:45. Everyone seemed in good spirits after such a successful concert last night, and another restful (and sadly, last) night with the Hannover Choir host families.

After assembling all of our suitcases on our very own bus (which we will keep for the remainder of our travels), we hit the road around 8:30 am for the trek to Denmark! It was a bit of a long journey, but singers were eager to catch up about their homestay experiences, and reconnect after a night away from one another.

A bit before hitting the Germany/Denmark border, we stopped for a picnic lunch that everyone seemed to enjoy! Us chaperones had done an early morning grocery run and bought out the store of bread, meat, cheese, and fruit. Chaperones had fun making a sandwich assembly line for the singers, who had their pick of sandwich fillings and fruit.

After a couple more bathroom breaks, and a 2-hour mandatory nap time (which chaperones enjoyed as well), we arrived in Denmark around 7pm. For this leg of the Denmark trip, singers are staying with families from Klarup Pigekor. Most of the families live in Klarup, which was our first stop, and the remainder live in another local suburb called Aalborg.

After a long travel day, I know we are all looking forward to some sightseeing and shopping tomorrow, followed by our second concert!
