Virtual Concert Choir Camp Closing Circle

What a wonderful end to our virtual camp!

We started by singing a call and response camp song called Princess Pat with Tate, and then we showed off our choir camp t-shirts from this year and years past for our final spirit day (Choir Nerd Day)!

Clarissa, one of the voice teachers, led warmups today. She had us watch a video to show how much the body moves to breathe and led us in breathing exercises, then had us vocalize, keeping in mind how our bodies move.

After warm ups, Mr. Brown had us lie on the floor and sing! He had singers identifying solfege and scales by ear. Then, singers split into 4 breakout rooms for more musicianship and mentee mentor bonding. We are also pleased to announce that House Fox has won the House Cup with 665 points! Singers from this house should receive an email with their mysterious prize on Monday.

We then had the pleasure of hearing from one of our singers what they have been working on in their daily voice lessons. Thank you to Juliet Malick for sharing!

We then held a heartfelt closing circle, and got to hear from everyone at camp what they enjoyed about camp, and what they are looking forward to this year. There were smiles, laughs, and dedications to voice staff, theory teachers, mentors and mentees, as well as sections. Thank you to our incredible Concert Choir community for an incredibly fun, if a bit unsusual, time at camp! Let’s do it again next year :)
