Nancy Linford

Nancy Linford, conductor of Girls’ Training 4 and Boys’ Training 2, brings a lifelong love of singing and an especial fondness for children’s voices to the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choirs. A Bay Area native, she has enjoyed witnessing and being a part of the growth of the Choirs providing opportunities for children that she would have relished as a child. Nancy holds a Master’s of Music Education with Kodály Emphasis from Holy Names University, a BA in vocal performance from UC Santa Cruz, a K-12 music teaching credential, and Level III Orff certification. Her elementary classroom vocal music experience includes teaching in Hayward, Piedmont, Oakland, San Francisco and Albany. When teaching in Oakland with Cantare Con Vivo, she sang with their Chamber Ensemble. Nancy loves bell ringing, formed handbell ensembles at her San Francisco and Piedmont schools, and continues to ring in an ensemble for her own pleasure. nlinford@piedmontchoirs.org
