Day 1 - Piedmont has safely landed in Billund, Denmark!!!

After several hours of sleeping on the plane, passing notes, catching up on the news and the new Justin Bieber movie, changing planes in Amsterdam, we finally arrived at our destination-Billund! We were warmly greeted at the airport by our host choir, Midtvest Pigekor, where we were taken to our homestays for the night. Some kids went home to sleep and eat, while others played soccer in the center of the town square of Herning. Herning is co-hosting part of the under 21 European soccer tournament. Exciting!! Tomorrow morning we will have a joint rehearsal with Midtvest and a concert in the afternoon, followed by a fun evening with a trip to the North Sea Agger on the west coast of Denmark.

For now, until tomorrow, "Favel!" (Danish for "goodbye")
