Day 1: Welcome to Seattle!

Concert Choir’s 2022 Seattle Tour began with a 5 AM call time, and 35 sleepy singers boarded an early flight to the Pacific Northwest. In reference to the morning travel, Bryan announced “I was up before dawn! If you ask me, the sun being down means I’m supposed to be asleep.”

Upon arrival, the singers climbed aboard the bus and we ventured to Snoqualmie Falls. On the way, Mr. Brown told stories about previous tours and discussed local geography. A picnic lunch preceded a gorgeous hike down to the falls, where the choir serenaded the waterfall with tunes such as Fog and A God, Loch Lomond, and Two Daughters from this Aged Stream. The singers were insistent on performing songs with themes of water, and all enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and mist coming from the falls. After a quick trip to the gift shop, our already beloved bus driver Gary took us to our hotel, and en route Fritz lost a tooth!

After an exciting first day, the kids were excited to arrive at the hotel and wind down with some games and chatting. We had burritos and tamales from a local taqueria before singers and chaperones alike returned to their rooms for an early night. It’s been a great day!
