choristers should plan on registering for Camp Joyful Voices in preparation for moving into Concert Choir in the future

  • Singers may participate in commissions and other projects Boys Training 2 (BT2) is a skilled and spirited boys group in the Training Department. Boys in this class demonstrate strong singing and theory skills. Because PEBCC’s touring choirs are for treble voices only, in the final preparatory level before the Performing Department, we provide an accelerated path for boys to be able to participate in ALL aspects of our programming prior to their voices changing. BT2 is a critical step in that pathway.

Classes begin August 29, 2022.

In BT2, students will:

  • Study melodic sequence, intervals, and more sophisticated theory elements

  • Further refine singing skills

  • Sing in rounds and 2 parts

  • Read musical scores with confidence

  • Further develop sight-reading skills

  • Read and perform more challenging rhythms, melody lines and scales

  • Practice good vocal technique and good choral singing habits

  • Singers may participate in commissions and other projects

  • Participate in Training Department Weekend Intensive

  • Perform in recital and concert

  • Choristers should plan on registering for Camp Joyful Voices in preparation for moving into Concert Choir in the future

  • Be able to move into the Performing Department, by audition, to Concert Choir
