Day 3 - Red Carpets, Paper Crowns, and First Overnight!
For Camp Joyful Voices, today was Animal day - many campers arrived dressed in animal print and carrying stuffed animals of all kinds. Eagle Pod played “Museum” during free time, where everyone became a moving sculpture of an animal or person, and sang through their song ”I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon.” They also had a mini recital from their two counselors Mia and Talia, who performed two arias for them. Fox pod had a blast today making paper crowns durning craft time to go with their “fancy R’s” from rehearsal. They also worked on PEBCC favorite “Homeward Bound” in rehearsal and played hopscotch during free time.
Concert Choir’s Spirit Day was Red Carpet day, and so many singers came dressed to impress! Campers from Jackrabbit even had a runway show to show off all their red carpet looks. They also played a game of “exquisite corpse,” a drawing game where each player takes turns drawing on a sheet of paper, folding it to conceal their contribution, and then passing it to the next player for a further contribution. They made some pretty wacky characters together! They also got to know each other with an icebreaker game that had them sharing their “30 second life stories” and talked about Harry Potter. Bobcat Pod went on a short hike today, and sang “Cozy Cat Nap” in 3 parts - so impressive for only the third day of camp! Check out the link below for a short video.
This evening, Joyful Voices campers returned to Chabot for their stargazing overnight
